November 04, 2009 (Chestnut Ridge, NY) - On November 4th of 2009, American Innovations, Inc. was awarded its SBA 8(a) certification. The U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a) Business Development program, named for a section of the Small Business Act, is a business development program created to help small disadvantaged businesses compete in the American economy and access the federal procurement market.
In addition to its commitment of providing needed technology, training and services to our armed forces and first responders, American Innovations strives to grow its business with the assistance of the SBA 8(a) program by integrating with the large networks that connect the Government to the private sector. Teaming with prime contractors and identifying subcontracting opportunities is also at the top of the company’s priorities.
As a minority, women-owned, small disadvantaged business with HUBZone certification, American Innovations is proud to be accepted into the SBA 8(a) program and given its $3.5 million dollar starting contract threshold, the company expects this nine (9) year SBA program to contribute toward record growth numbers for the company..
