Disaster Recovery Purchasing Program

GSA customers can order security products through American Innovations GSA contract GS-07F-5556P, through GSA advantage, GSA 1122 program, GSA disaster recovery program or by calling American Innovations at (845) 371-3333.

State and local governments can now use GSA Schedule contracts for procurements both before as well as after emergencies occur. A variety of products and services supporting recovery from major disasters, terrorism, or nuclear, biological, chemical, or radiological attack are available.

Under Disaster Recovery Purchasing, state and local government entities may purchase a variety of products and services from contracts awarded under GSA Federal Supply Schedules to facilitate recovery from a major disaster, terrorism, or nuclear, biological, chemical, or radiological attack. Note the Disaster Recovery Program doesn't allow purchases for preparation purposes, only recovery.

This Disaster Recovery Purchasing authority is limited to GSA Schedule contracts and does not include any other GSA programs. Schedules e-Library contains a list of all GSA Schedules subject to Disaster Recovery Purchasing.

State and local government entities may use GSA Schedule contracts to purchase products and services in advance of a major disaster declared by the president, as well as in the aftermath of an emergency event. State and local government entities are responsible for ensuring that the products or services purchased are to be used to facilitate recovery.

The Disaster Recovery Purchasing Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) provide information as to how Disaster Recovery Purchasing actually works and the benefits it provides to Schedule contractors and state and local entities. FAQs are also available for the following areas of interest to customer agencies and vendors: GSA Schedules (general FAQs); Blanket Purchase Agreements; Contractor Team Arrangements; Cooperative Purchasing; and Legal Corner.

American Innovations, Inc. participates in the Disaster Recovery Program. We encourage State and Local Governments to inquire with their state purchasing contact about ability to buy under the Disaster Recovery Program. If you are a State or Local Government agency you are eligible, but you must verify that your State's laws do not preclude you from buying at Government Pre-negotiated Rates.

Under Disaster Recovery Purchasing, only state and local government entities, as defined in General Services Administration Acquisition Manual (GSAM) 538.7001, are eligible to purchase from GSA Schedules. As noted in the definition, the term, state and local government entities, "...does not include contractors of, or grantees of, state or local governments." Thus, state or local government grantees cannot purchase Schedule products or services under Disaster Recovery Purchasing.
